White spot lace top

Hello guys!

This week my project was much easier than the dress I presented you last week! I used a pattern from the book “Vestiaire scandinave” written by Annabel Benilan to make a white spot lace top.

What about this book? It’s a really good one, I think it is perfect for beginners because of the simple explanations and schemes. On top of that the models are fresh and have pure lines. I will just give a bad review on the fact that sometimes the author doesn’t choose facility by doing some finishes by hand (but it is just a point of view). So sometimes I don’t follow exactly the guidelines and take the liberty to use the sewing machine to have a cleaner result.

Last year, I made the exact model of the book in a sort of heavy jersey and I looked pregnant so I had to add darts to give it a shape. This time I choose a spotty lace and a lightweight cotton for the layer again bought at Fabric Land.

I made a step by step photo story to show you the progress of the work. Yeah! I’m getting more organised!
So I drew I cut and sew. And now I have a new summer top in my wardrobe! Tindinnnn!

It is very easy to do and so if you want to start sewing and you like it! GO! I hope you appreciate it! Well I do so I will wear it this summer for sure. See the pictures here :

Have a nice weekend!

Cheers my Dears!
